Lorraine Easter Stinson
Lorraine Stinson was born in the great state of Texas where she attended high school through the 11th grade. She moved to Southern California and graduated from high school. Throughout her life, she has been interested in and participted in school plays, and has written poetry and skits. She was active in choral groups and several sports, including tennis, softball and basketball. She also loved to dance.
After high school, she got married, and is now a single mother of three adult children.
She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and holds and Associates Degree in Biblical Studies. She took guitar lessons at Mt. San Antonio Community College as an elective class because she loved the sound of acoustic guitar.
As an adult, a deep heartfelt desire to become an instrument of worship unto the Lord in song became her prayer and she tearfully petitioned the Lord. The Lord graciously answered that prayer and began to give her songs to play on the guitar for His pleasure and glory. She went through some very challenging times in her life and found rest for her soul in the Presence of the Lord as she worshipped Him. One of the songs the Lord gave her during that time is included in the soundtrack of the movie, My Birthday, entitled, No! To The Blues. She learned a very valuable lesson during that time and discovered that we are to worship the Lord in the midst of suffering and trials, tests, and tribulations—to stand on our faith and trust in Him and when we do, His peace and joy comes and causes us to be able to make it through victoriously! As scripture tells us in Psalms 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at ALL times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth!” We are to worship the Lord no matter what is going on! Which happens to be part of the title of another song the Lord gave her.
The good hand of the Lord has been upon Lorraine, and He has opened doors for her to be part of the Praise and Worship Team and Outreach Team at Community Christian Center Church in Covina, California.
If you had asked Lorraine if she ever dreamed she would be acting in a movie, she would have emphatically told you no. But much to her surprise it did happen, in spite of the fact that she had made up her mind that she would not accept the part. What happened to cause her to change her mind? Her deep desire to reach hurting people who have not experienced the joy and fulfillment of a close, loving, personal relationship with the Lord is what moved her to accept the role. There is a special part in the movie that speaks to these precious ones. What a joy she experienced in performing a role in the movie where the Lord allowed her to play a very small part in His magnificent plan and team up with the other actors and everyone who prayed for the movie, and contributed in any way to reach the viewers with God’s love! What a privilege she would have missed!
Lorraine is thankful to the Lord for allowing her to co-labor with Him, Sharon Johnson, Executive Producer, Screenplay Author, Mike Paraspolo, Director & Producer, Danny Lopez, Cinematographer, Editor, Producer, all the actors, Pastor Ken Clowdus and everyone from Community Christian Center Church to reach the world with the “Good News” of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
