Mike Paraspolo
Hi. My name is Mike Paraspolo and I directed the movie, My Birthday.
I was born in Queens, New York. At 4 years old I was hit in the head with a baseball bat. I was rushed to the hospital and the doctors told my parents that I would be paralyzed for life or I would die. They said, “It’s in God’s hands.” My dad told him, “I am not paying God, I am paying you! Fix my boy up. “ Well, I am not paralyzed and obviously not dead, so I know that God has had his hand on my life from an early age. (Please note: My dad accepted Jesus as savior several years after this incident and has been serving the Lord as an assistant pastor for many years now.)
I thank God for giving me the opportunity to direct this film. I am an actor in Hollywood and have learned a lot from Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Dennis Dugan who directs a lot of Adam Sandler movies. I worked with Adam and have had many conversations with him. I have watched all of these people to learn how to shoot a movie. I have been in 60 TV shows and 15 films.
My Birthday is a story about decisions. I hope it helps you find God in your life. The main character, Rose, got a chance to see what her life would have been without Jesus in it. I hope you will think of your life without Jesus and think of your life with Him; you will realize we all need Jesus.
This film had a very good cast and crew. Danny Lopez did a great job as cinematographer and film editor. Don Fish’s work on cameras and as special effects editor is greatly appreciated. He also did a great job. All the actors did a wonderful job. I thank God for all the people that worked on the film. A special thanks to Sharon Johnson for everything.
God bless, Mike Paraspolo, aka…“Big Money Mike”
